18 Jan 2012 - 2012 Has Started! Having spent a month away, Run Don't Walk have got together to start working on some new songs! As we finish them off we'll put up rehearsal clips to give you an idea of some of the new tracks you'll be able to hear at our up-coming gigs. Bye for now! :-) 29 Nov 2011 - Water Rats Gig on Friday We're really looking forward to Friday's gig at Water Rats supporting punk legend Grant Hart, ex-Husker Du singer, songwriter and drummer. Run Don't Walk's rocky, poppy, indie, guitary, synthy awesomeness have made them favourites on the London club circuit. Self-released EPs and a single on Organic records, along with gigs around the UK and Europe, radio sessions and promotional interviews with magazines such as Performing Musician have been raising the band's profile. Blistering sets at venues such as The Rhythm Factory, the Borderline, Cargo and Proud Galleries have also helped their cause! The line-up has evolved into a five-piece consisting of Kabir, Malcolm, Rob, Tim and Warren. The band mark as many gigs as possible with limited edition CDs that are only available on the night of the gig, allowing them provide a near-constant stream of new or re-worked material in electric or acoustic formats. We were without Rob, so I just turned up my guitar to compensate! Great turnout that night and some really cool bands too.   "Taste of Brine" was the closing song from our set and I'd blown my voice out during an impromptu cover of Drain You by Nirvana. Still gave it a good crack though!   This was the promo we put together from gig clips for the "Need Some Time" single released on Organic Records with the original line-up: Fraser on bass, Neil on drums, Danny and me on guitars and vocals.   We played "Drain You" on 24 September 2011 at the Bowery to mark the 20th aniversary of the release of Nirvana's 'Nevermind' album. That record still sounds amazing after all this time!
